Private User Groups on Cloud

User Groups can now be Private or Public starting with 22x FD01 on Cloud.

Prior to 22x FD01 all User Groups were Public and all users in the platform could see all User Groups plus the members of each group. Private User Groups bring added value in that you can now protect User Groups that need to be sensitive.

New User Groups are now set to Private by default.

Private User Groups are indicated with an icon of an eye with a slash through it as shown in the image below.

Private User Groups can be changed to Public. This is done by editing the group in the Properties tab and changing the Visibility field to Public.

Changing a User Group from Private to Public is a permanent change and can’t be undone. You must confirm this change.

All User Groups that were created before 22x FD01 are Public and can’t be changed to Private.

One more enhancement to note is that Platform Admins are now able to import and export User Groups.
