North America's 1st ENOVIA User Community Conference a HIT!

North America's 1st ENOVIA User Community Conference a HIT!

Last week saw the first North American based ENOVIA User Community Conference.  This event was exceptionally well attended and received by a diverse set of customers from various parts of the  continent.

Thank you to all 186 participants (72% of all registrations!) for taking the time to travel to Massachusetts on July 17 and 18!  Feedback we have received about the presentations and hands-on tutorial sessions has been extremely positive.  Neither bad weather, delayed flights nor lost baggage could dissuade you,our great ENOVIA users from attending!

I was busy making sure we were sharing our messages externally through our ENOVIA Twitter feed via the hashtag#ENOVIAeverywhere, but I was most impressed by the level of interaction between speakers, audience and during our panelist discussion.  I've been to enough conferences to tell when the audience is getting glazed-eye and focusing more on their mobile devices; however, I did not see that much at all last week as attendees were intently listening or raising hands to ask questions.

If you had a question that we couldn't answer during this event or have thought of one since, why not enter it in the iQuestions feature in this community?  Click HERE to go to that feature of this SwYm community and ask away!

Bill RUCCIO of DS R&D addressing the crowd on what to expect with the 3DEXPERIENCE platform

Ramesh HALDORAI, DS VP of UX speaking on successful product launches in today's market settings

Bob Maffia of BAE Systems with Kevin BAUGHEY of DS listening in, drives the message home during the panel discussion

Day I was packed with a number of presentations and stories.  We had Stephan Jensen of Westinghouse (thanks!) join us as our keynote speaker and I was impressed with his story (and delivery!) as to how ENOVIA has connected their in-house engineers and worldwide customer base with 24/7 access to a single source for everything relevant (drawing, spec's, documents, etc) to their daily business.  Additionally, thank you goes out to our very kind and supportive sponsors:

  • Adlib Software - John Hanrahan had a great presentation on how his company has been leveraging ENOVIA to improve the documentation experience
  • Xchanging - Rakesh Pandey covered how they are utilizing ENOVIA to solve their company's ProE BOM management along with other stories
  • IBM
  • Kalypso

Day II had users really getting down to business with a variety of hands-on tutorial sessions that included a good deal of Q&A back-and-forth and several Product Strategy Forum roundtables to map out the ENOVIA "Going-Forward" roadmap.  We don't want anyone to think that we are not listening!  All this valuable feedback from the meeting has been captured and will continue to be captured through ongoing dialogue with you!

So... what did YOU think of the event? We would love to hear your thoughts!  Please feel free to continue the dialogue in the comments box below (don't be shy!) and if you have any questions, post to the iQuestions page of the community.  Additionally, you are enabled to share your own stories in the blog page here in the community.  Again, don't be shy and enter a blog.  It's easy, fun and the information you share may serendipitously help someone else solve a problem.

We look forward to seeing everyone at next year's event so keep your eye on the community for the location and dates announcement to come; for a full calendar of events, click HERE.

We look forward to an even bigger and better event next year!
