Introduction

In ENOVIA, there are two major methods to control access to content, depending on the application you are using to create the content:

1. Baseline behavior.
2. Direct-access responsibility.

In apps that work using a direct-access responsibility method, such as 'Project Planning', the permission to create an object is only determined by the responsibility assigned to the user in the application itself.

In apps that work using a baseline behavior method, such as 'Bookmark Editor' and 'Engineering Release', the permission to create an object is implicitly defined through a combination of:

1. The collaborative space, organization membership and responsibility of the user.
2. The content category of the object.

In this post, you learn where to find the information about the lowest responsibility required to create an object in applications that use the baseline behavior method.

Step 1: How to locate the Object Content Category:

To know what is the lowest responsibility required to create an object, you need first to know to which 'Content Category' the object belongs.

In general, we support five types of Content Categories:

• Administrative Resource Management
• Authoring Resource Management
• Definition
• Evaluation
• Personal Management

To find the 'Content Category' the object belongs to, follow the below steps:

1. First, identify in which application we create the particular object.
2. Then, open the main application section in the ENOVIA User Assistance documentation.
3. Under the application section, navigate to: ' Basics' -> ' Access to Content' section.
4. In the ' Access to Content' page, refer to the 'Content Categories' section, to identify the 'Content Category' the object type, created in this application, belongs to.

For example, to create a Bookmark, you work in the 'Bookmark Editor' application. Therefore, in the ENOVIA User Assistance documentation, you navigate to:
'Bookmark Editor'-> 'Bookmark Editor Basics' -> 'Bookmark Editor Access to Content'.

Then, you see that 'Bookmark Root' belongs to the Evaluation category.​​​​​​​

Step2: Locate the Lowest Responsibility that can create the object:

Now that you know the 'Content Category' of the object, you are ready to locate what is the lowest responsibility required to create the object.

1. In ENOVIA User Assistance documentation, navigate to
   3DEXPERIENCE ->3DEXPERIENCE Platform->Collaborating in 3DEXPERIENCE -> Controlling Access to Content in Collaborative Spaces-> Content Categories.
2. On the 'Content Categories' page, there is a table describing for each 'Content Category' the Lowest Responsibility required to create content.
