Mechatronics Product Development and xCAD

Thank you to all who participated in "Mechanical Designers (Competitor MCAD) and EDA Designers (PCB)" sessions at ECC 2012 -  the ENOVIA Community Conference last week in Orlando, FL . We welcome all , who didn’t joined us at ECC, to review and respond on this post as well.

Truly, the goal of these two sessions  - "Solution Overview"  and "The Strategy" ,  wasn’t only presentation and discussion of MCAD and ECAD integrations functionality, but rather  description of ENOVIA 's current and planned capabilities in context of the Mechatronics Product Development.  Mechanical  and PCB designers User Experience is not only based on tools interoperability and CAD data management. ENOVIA Mechatronics User Experience enables  Mechanical, Electronics and Software engineers to collaborate  in the same PLM environment and as result facilitate complex product development cycle and break silos between disciplines:

In the  "Overview"  presentation you will find description of ENOVIA Mechatronics Solution, where functional domains, like Mechanical CAD, EDA for PCB and ALM are connected through Systems Engineering and dedicated Components management business processes.

In addition, you will find the value prop and the scope of ENOVIA MCAD and EDA for PCB design solution offers.

The "xCAD Strategy" presentation has descriptions of recent and upcoming release (V6R2013/13x) highlights and  shows a detailed view on planned future development in xCAD infrastructure, MCAD and ECAD integrations.  None of these future concepts should be regarded as a commitment from Dassault Systèmes, and they are just included in this presentation for discussion purposes only.

We are really looking forward for your comments,  feedbacks and questions with regard to overall Mechatronics solution strategy  and any MCAD and ECAD technical capability.

 Thank you.
