IPC has just published the IPC-1754 solution provider review results for the version 1.0 amendment 1: Dassault Systèmes is one of the five providers that have successfully passed the first review process for this standard:
I have been involved in the development of this standard from the beginning of the IAEG work in 2013, a trade association for the Aerospace & Defense sector for the Substances Reporting process against the EU REACH regulation. I have been the chair of the development committee for this standard for four years and publication of first version 1.0 of this standard was achieved in 2018.
Dassault Systèmes also is one of the first providers to support reporting of "process chemicals" as chemicals used during manufacturing or post-production processes. Process chemicals are of concern because they could put at risk the processes and the product should they come under authorization or restriction by EU REACH, beyond the current hazardous substances requirement. This feature addresses the obsolescence risk for processes or products without simple or low cost replacement technologies.
For reference, consult the joint IPC and IAEG post about the IPC-1754 standard supporting the SCIP database.
