The Issue Management application allows you to submit, track, prioritize and assign issues for assessment and also implement processes to ensure quick resolution.
In the Summary page of the app, while working with a large set of issues (e.g., more than 10,000), performance lag was observed. Additionally, a few issues were observed when using the search and 6WTags filters on a large set of issues available in this page of the app.
To address these challenges and to enhance the overall experience of the Summary page when working with a large set of issues, the following key enhancements were developed in the R2026x GA release:
1) Issue Display Counter & Progressive Loading
The dedicated Issue Display Counter is now provided at the bottom left of the Summary page that indicates count of:
- Displayed Issues
- Total Issues
- Selected Issues
The Summary page has also been revamped to display only 100 issues at the start. The new Progressive Loading experience adds the next 100 issues at a time as you scroll down the list. This ensures improved performance and smoother navigation.
2) Enhancements in the Filtering Experience
The performance of the 6WTags filtering has also been improved to work seamlessly with such large number of issues. With these improvements, you can now leverage the Colorize feature within the 6WTags panel to quickly find specific issues based on their color codes.
Note: Due to the new progressive loading experience, all issues are not always displayed on the Summary page. However, when the 6WTags filter is used, it applies to all the issues, not just the displayed ones.
3) Enhancements In the Export & Print Experience
When exporting/printing a list of issues from the Summary page, if you have not selected any issues, all issues are considered for the export/print process. A dialog box now appears, indicating the total number of issues that will be exported/printed before you proceed with the action.
Please refer to the following demo video that explains these enhancements in detail.
