Introduction
The Issue Management app in the Collaborative Industry Innovator (CSV) role allows you to raise concerns about problems and discrepancies found in your IP (Physical Product, document, other) by creating a formal issue in the system. You can attach the affected items to the issues, describe the issue along with its recommended resolution and assign it to the required stakeholder. All the stakeholders of the issue have complete traceability of all the elements of the issue throughout its lifecycle.
During the product development, it is important to find out the list of issues related to a particular object. You can then find out the issues that are still open and take further decisions to expedite its resolution. Starting from the R2023x FD02 release, you can filter the list of issues based on the object. To achieve this, the new "Filter by Object" option is provided in the filter menu. This enhancement is helpful in easily retrieving the required set of issues related to a specific object.
When you select this option, the search field is opened where you can enter the name of the object to filter. You can type and select the required object from the suggested options. You can also click on the search icon to open the 3DSearch window and leverage the 6WTags to speed up the search. Alternatively, you can also drag-and-drop objects from other apps to the filter search field.
To set-up the required criteria for filtering by objects, you can select the settings option in the search drop-down menu. This shows the setting dialog box that lets you select the following option/s for as the filtering criteria:
- Affected Item
- Resolved Item
- Context
For example, when the check box for the Context and Affected Item is selected, the list is filtered to show you all the issues that have the selected object as a context or affected item.
Note:
- This filter stays consistent even after the re-login or page refresh.
- The "Filter by Object" option also works in conjunction with the other options in the filter menu.
