Introduction to Workforce Allocation View

Introduction

In today's fast-paced work environment, getting the right people on the right tasks has become increasingly challenging as priorities shift and projects evolve rapidly. Resource Managers need real-time visibility to make informed staffing decisions quickly and confidently.

To address this need, ENOVIA introduced the 'Workforce Allocation View' in R2026xFD01; which is a centralized workspace designed to provide Resource Managers with a clear unified and interactive view of team availability, resource requests, and staffing needs.

Thanks to this view, Resource Managers can:

  • Understand project demands at a glance

  • Identify the best-suited team members for each task

  • Assign users to resource requests in a single environment

  • Respond to changes and make staffing decisions without delay

The 'Workforce Allocation' view streamlines the allocation process, improves transparency, and enables faster and smarter resource planning.

The Workforce Allocation View

The 'Workforce Allocation' view is accessible directly from the 'Workforce Management' web application Home Page and is included in the 'Workforce Manager' (XWO-OC) role.

The 'Workforce Allocation' view is divided into three main sections:

Section #1 - Workforce Users:

This section provides a comprehensive overview of the team's availability and workload.
It consists of two parts:

  • User List (left panel): Displays all users within the logged-in Resource Matcher's organization who are eligible to be assigned workforce requests. The list is organized based on the organization’s supervisory structure.

  • Workload Timeline (right panel): Visualizes each user’s workload over time as a percentage.
Here is how the workload is color-coded for a quick assessment:

    • Blue (0-100%): Indicates the user is fully available (0%), partially available or totally unavailable (100%).

    • Red (over 100%): Indicates that the user is overbooked.

The color-coded bar allows Resource Matchers to assess capacity at a glance.
For deeper insights, you can drill down to view:

  • All assigned requests

  • The contribution to the workload (%) of each request

  • The maturity state of each request

This transparency ensures you have a detailed understanding of resource utilization.

Section #2 - Workforce Allocation Details:

This section provides a detailed breakdown of allocation details for one or more selected users, ensuring Workforce Managers can easily track and manage individual workloads with precision.

By default, this section is not displayed.
To access it, select one or more users in the 'Workforce Users' section.

Then, you can view a detailed timeline of users assigned workforce requests, color-coded by the maturity state of each request.

Section #3 - Workforce Allocation Needs:

This section focuses on unallocated or pending (In Work) workforce requests assigned to you as the Resource Matcher that require staffing.

Requests are grouped by project (context) to provide structured visibility and easier prioritization. You can open each request’s properties to review its specific details and requirements.
