👀How to reuse a license used by someone who left the company?

Have you ever encountered the following situation in your company:

Someone leaves the company,  but you cannot reuse their 3DEXPERIENCE licenses because they were not properly de-assigned in time?

Explore this blog to learn the step-by-step process for efficient  reclamation of such licenses when a user leaves the company.

1- Revoke the license from the user:

Keep in mind that once a license is assigned and activated, it remains locked to the user for 30 days.

To do so, access the "Platform Administration" dashboard, and then select the "Members" tab. Proceed to search for the respective user. Select the information of the user.

Hover your mouse over the "calendar" icon to find out when the license was assigned to the user. With this information, you are able to determine if 30 days have passed. If that's the case, you can safely un-assign the license from the user.

Prioritize the selectable licenses first, as some may be grayed out due to being prerequisites or being locked (30 days rule). It is recommended to handle these prerequisite licenses at the end of the process.

2- Remove access of the user:

Once all the selectable licenses and the prerequisite licenses have been removed, you can  then remove the user access to the platform .

Removing the access to the 3DEXPERIENCE platform, prevents the user to connect to the platform. This action is reversible. If the user is back, you can give them the access back . If you want to remove completely the user from the platform, then use “Remove User” option.

Once completed, you can review the list of roles and assign them to other users as needed, as licenses become available.
