How to find your questions and validate an answer?

Introduction

In 3DSwym application, you can create, search, and edit several types of content: Posts, Ideas, Wikis and Questions.

Questions allow you to ask questions to all the members of a given community and receive collaborative replies.

By asking a question, you may receive several answers. In order to “close” the question, it is recommended to validate one of the answers, and further tag it as a ‘Validated’ answer.

A question can have one of three types of maturity:

- Validated

- Answered but not validated

- Not answered

Answer validation

Validating a question is very important for a community manager and for the users who are part of the community. They need to keep track of the whole loop. A question that have a good validated answer, is a question that may not come up again in the community.

Who can answer questions?

Any member having the required access level in the 3DEXPERIENCE platform, can answer questions, validate and rate the answers. The user who asked the questions is the one who validates the best answer. Only the author of the question or an administrator can validate an answer. As a validation criteria, you can use the number of votes given by other users to an answer.

You can review the following video that illustrates the search of your question and the validation of an answer:
