With this new best practice you will learn how to add VPMReference objects (aka Physical Products) to IP Protection in R2019x.
The IP Protection Classification app utilizes an allstate revoke filter on Policies to enforce access restrictions for objects. Most Types in the ENOVIA schema, such as Documents and EC Parts, have the allstate revoke filter applied to their Policies when IP Protection is installed. However, some Types, including VPMReference, must be configured to work with IP Protection following installation.
The instructions included in this document are designed to allow VPM objects to be classified and access restricted with IP Protection in ENOVIA.
