We are 3DEXPERIENCE company but we also know the importance of 2D in engineering and manufacturing. As you might know this new function when you saw the ENOVIA R2022x FD01 What's New session but I'd like to highlight it and remind you again here. In fact, we had received a lot of requests in terms of this capability in the past so I hope this will be helpful to you all.

Where is the function?

You can use "2D Compare" in the 3D Markup widget which is available in Collaborative Industry Innovator(CSV), not Compare widget. Some people may assume 3D Markup is only for 3D but the recent 3D Markup can load drawings, schematics or the other formats of data.

How does it behave?

You can see drawings comparison for CATIA V5 and SOLIDWORKS drawings in the video.

Takeaways

Even before this "2D Compare" came on, you were able to compare your product with Compare widget.  With this new function, you can even more fully capture what happened between revisions, branches, or derived products, like:

•  Product Structure changes
•  3D changes
•  Attribute changes
•  Drawing specific changes, like tolerances, finishes, or minor corrections. New!!
