Climate Change has been strongly demonstrated this summer with very high temperatures, strong storms, heavy rains and very large fires in different areas of the planet. ACTION is urgently required for mitigating those risks, protecting nature and saving people. French law on Anti-Wasting and Circular Economy (AWCE, Anti-Gaspillage et Economie Circulaire, "AGEC" in French) would contribute to this, as well as the revision of the EU EcoDesign directive of which a draft has been published on March 30, 2022.

Here is an extract of article 13 of this AWCE/AGEC French law with main product information to be made available in an electronic format on website to the public, plus a more detailed description of the requirements.

Main requirements from this article 13 regard:

1) traceability of substances, either hazardous substances, or precious metals, or rare earths (used in high tech equipment) or endocrine disruptors, well covered by our ENOVIA Materials Compliance applications (MCM on premise, and coming MCV on the cloud in R2024x);

2) products, components and their material recycled and reused content and recyclability also well covered by the same application;

3) other circular economy indicators like durability and reparability that could be added with configuration to the data model as Product/Part attributes, with PDE or TXO business roles;

4) other requirements on packaging composatbility and textiles traceability more specific to some product categories.
