ENOVIA MCC Advisory Board Meeting - 2020

On November 19th, the ENOVIA MCC Advisory Board Meeting for 2020 took place as a virtual event.   The event was supposed to be a live on-site event for EMEA customers, and it was to be hosted by Cytiva (formerly GE Healthcare Life Sciences) at their facilities in Uppsala, Sweden.   But the continuing COVID-19 challenges made a live event impossible, and a virtual event was the only option.

As a fully virtual event, we decided to compress the schedule to only 5-hours, and to run the event from 1:00 - 6:00 pm Central European Time so that the NAM customers could also join the event despite some very early start times of 4:00 - 7:00 am depending upon your location in North America.   The result was our very first MCC Advisory Board Meeting where both EMEA and NAM customers were able to share their experiences with using the ENOVIA "Materials Compliance Manager" application to meet the constantly changing and ever increasing requirements for such data management.

This first ever virtual MCC Advisory Board Meeting was hosted by Dassault Systemes and Technia, and was kicked off by welcomes from Mike Zepp (DS) and Niclas Lindberg (Technia).   The first presentation was an interesting and new topic of "Corporate Social Responsibility and Sustainability" given by James Kandler from the consulting company of "RoHS Ready".   This was followed by two MCM customer presentations with details on their use of the ENOVIA solution by Tommy Olofsson & Herbert Baumann from Cytiva, and by Karen Perras from BAE Systems.   Cytiva's presentation included a live demo of their MCM-R2019x implementation which was very well received, and which sparked a large number of questions from the audience.

After a short break, a 1-hour open discussion took place which resulted in numerous back & forth discussions between MCM customers from Sweden, Denmark, France, USA, and other countries.   The meeting then closed with some presentations by Jean-Pierre Theret on how to fulfill then new SCIP database reporting requirement that starts in 2021, and What's New and What's Coming in MCM presentations by Mike Zepp.   Finally the event was closed with big thanks to the presenters and participants by Mike Zepp and Niclas Lindberg.

If you missed this event, please note that the presentations and a video recording of the meeting will be posted in the MCC User Community by Nov. 30th.
