There is now a multi-select mode for 6WTags in R2021x FD04 that allows you to filter by selecting multiple tags simultaneously, or by excluding selected tags.
A floating action button appears at the bottom of the 6WTags panel that lets you select or exclude multiple tags.
If only one action is available (typically it is a multi-select option) then only that icon will be shown.
Multi-Select Action:
- This action lets you filter by selecting multiple tags (the same behavior as selecting tags with the CTRL key pressed)
- Only tags can be selected, not predicates
- This action is always available in all contexts
- Multiple tags selected from the same 6W predicate are treated as an “OR” operation (the filtered results will match any of the selected tags)
- Multiple tags selected from different 6W predicates are treated as an “AND” operation (the filtered results will match all of the selected tags)
Exclude Action:
- The active widget must be in maximized mode
- This action appears only for those widgets that support it
Some widgets that currently support the Exclude action are:
- Bookmark Editor
- Issue Management
- Product Explorer
- Product Structure Editor
- Relations
- Only tags can be selected, not predicates
- Excluding dates is not possible (although you can exclude selected dates from the Selected Tags area)
- All selected tags will be excluded from the results
Manipulation of Selected Tags
Filtered tags are shown at the top of the 6WTags panel. Excluded tags are identified with this symbol
Each tag can individually be removed, changed to be excluded (if it was originally selected) or changed to be included (if it was originally excluded).
