📢Since the 23x FD01 release, a new feature has been introduced: Delegated authentication on cloud. (If you missed this release, you can find the details here.)
Delegated authentication allows you to keep consistency between all the accounts you use in your company, by seamlessly mapping your 3DEXPERIENCE ID to your local authentication system.
User authentication is delegated to the identity provider of the customer. It is important to highlight that the first time the user logs in; they must associate a 3DEXPERIENCE ID (new or existing - highly recommended for existing platforms).
To benefit from this feature, you must first activate it.
Here are the five steps to enable and implement delegated authentication:
1) Activation of Delegated Authentication
First step is to activate the option in the 3DPassport Control Center application, by the administrator of your Platform.
2) User authentication is delegated to your Identity Provider (idP)
In this second step, connect to your idP as your authentication is now delegated to your idP.
3) Mapping with 3DEXPERIENCE ID
Now you can map your 3DEXPERIENCE ID account using your address from your idP. Make sure this is your first connection.
4) User invitation received by email
You now receive an invitation by email (to the address that you provided during the mapping) with the Invitation to the platform.
5) Access your platform
You are now ready to take up your platform.
