Administration of the 3DEXPERIENCE Platform has greatly evolved over different releases with a trend to increase capabilities on the front end UI.
The out of the box environment, named "Baseline" (and previously known as One-Click Experience or OCDX), comes with plenty of features that empower PLM administrators. The purpose of the following videos is to demonstrate how out of the box administration is performed, and what is generally possible. Advanced configuration and customization are not covered.
As an administrator, for example admin_platform (or any user declared as an administrator), you will have the platform manager Dashboard. It is an administrator dashboard that consolidates baseline administration and configuration capabilities. The members and roles tab contains the Members and Roles widget. This is the recommended way to add users and assign roles. This will add the licenses to the user based on assigned roles. You can get information on remaining licenses available and automatically assign prerequisites / co-requisites.

Adding an App: you can add third party applications to the 3DCompass and assign those apps to specific users.
Adding a role:custom apps can be grouped and assigned to custom roles.

Content Management: Create new attributes, configure rules, lifecycles and naming conventions.
BOM Attribute Synchronization:
Access control: the 3DSpace widget allows users to create collaborative spaces which are used to logically segregate data and apply access controls.
