In a drawing, if there are lots of layers, it becomes difficult to work with all of them at a time. Hence, filter is the best way to group them. It allows to view only required layers at a time. This can be achieved as following:
1. In the Layers Manager dialog box, click on Edit Filters.
2. By default we have a group named All and sub group called All used layers.
3. Click on Add Group Filter.
4. Provide a name fro this new filter and then close the dialog box.
5. Now to add layers to this group, select the required layer (use Shift key and Ctrl key for multiple selection)
Remove Layer from Group Filter:
In order to remove a particular layer form the Group Filter:
1. Activate the Group filter in Layers Manager.
2. Select the layer to be removed.
3. Right-click and select Remove from Group Filter.
In order to see only Group Filter in the Layer Toolbar, check the option 'Apply current filter to Layers Toolbar'
Changing the Filter Layers properties:
The Layer properties such as Visibility (Show, hide, Thawed, Freeze), Lock of Layers in a filter can be quickly changed as:
1. Click on Edit Filter.
2. Select the Group Filter.
3. Right click and check for the options.
Template:
The Layer properties and Group filters can be stored with the drawing template. This allows to use these settings while creating new drawings.
