EGrips are blue squares that appear when you select an entity before entering a command.
EntityGrips allow you quick and easy access to modify commands without entering a command.
When you first select the EGrip, it will turn red color and allow you to Stretch the entity in the graphics area.
Stretching line entity
When you pick on a grip, look at the Command Window. You will see that there are few options available.
Command: ._SNAPGRIP
STRETCH
Options: Base point, Copy, Undo, eXit or Stretch point»
If you type B for ‘Base point’ in the Command Window and press Enter, DraftSight will allow you to pick another point to stretch or move your entity. Typing C for copy in the Command Window will allow you to copy the entities as you stretch or move entities.
The Stretch is the default and first modifying command set from the several available command when you first pick EGrip for editing. However by pressing Enter or space bar you will be able to cycle through all the available commands for editing. The available commands are Stretch, Move, Mirror, Rotate, and Scale. Different EGrips do different things. For example when you select a circle it has, centre point grip and quadrant point grips.Centre point grip of a circle will allow you to move the circle in the graphics area
And the grips on the quadrant of the circle will allow modifying the radiusof the circle
