It is observed that few of the issues are resolved by resetting DraftSight to its default settings.
The steps to restore DraftSight to its default settings in Mac OS is as below:
- Close DraftSight.
- Go to Home/Library/Preferences/DraftSight.
- Rename the folder that is most recent (x.x.xxx). This folder contains the profile folder with current settings. (If in confusion, you can directly rename the DraftSight folder).
- Start DraftSight.
- Since it does not find the profile folder, it creates a new folder with default settings.
Sometimes, complete un-install of DraftSight and re-install is required in order to resolve the issue. Hence, if Technical support advices you to complete un-install DraftSight on Mac OS and re-install, following steps can be useful.
- Login as administrator.
- Close DraftSight.
- Go to Applications.
- Right-click on DraftSight and Move to Trash.
In addition to that, you are required to remove files present in ~/Library folder corresponding to DraftSight to completely uninstall DraftSight. - Go to Home /Library/Preferences. Delete DraftSight folder.
(Additionally, few applications are available for Mac OS, which completely uninstalls applications from Mac OS.) - Re-install DraftSight.
Note: please note that both the above processes will make you lose the customizations, if any done earlier.
