We have seen a few reports from users, complaining since the upgrade to V1R4.0 they experience some kind of graphical issues (screen noise). This troubleshooting section is for users having this issue AFTER upgrading to V1R4.0 and did not experience this kind of issue before. Please follow the steps below:

1. Close DraftSight
2. Open the following file with a text editor (e.g. Notepad++) c:\\Users\\\\AppData\\Roaming\\DraftSight\\1.2.285\\Profiles\\__unnamed.                         Please note that the number in the path '1.2.285' can vary. Use the newest/highest number in the folder.
3. Find the entry SetRndrEngMode -> This entry is most likely set to 1, but has to be set to 2.
4. Change the entry from 1 to 2.
5. Save and close.
6. Start DraftSight.

We apologise for the inconvenience this might have caused. Our developers have identified the problem and have fixed it in the new version available beginning of next year.
