How to Start Again From Scratch.
Most of the time you can resolve installation problems with diligent troubleshooting. But sometimes, you just can’t figure out the problem, reinstalling DraftSight didn’t work, and you are tired of having troubles and want to start from scratch with a nice clean slate by reinstalling DraftSight. This can be surprisingly easy, however, it must be done correctly – or you’ll get plenty of practice doing it again. This post is designed to help you make the process as easy as possible.
Before you begin, there are a few items that I must address:
1. Does your computer meet the system requirements?
-> The System Requirements can be found in the DraftSight FAQ.
2. Did you perform the Grapics test before?
-> Your issue might be graphics related and it’s highly recommended to do the graphics test before re-installing.
3. Did you backup your files and customised settings?
-> To Back-up your settings, please refer to the Installation and Upgrade Guide.
A clean installation may be appropriate in the following circumstances:
- When the issue occurs on one machine only.
- When the installer fails to complete.
- When DraftSight crashes frequently without any reason.
- Technical Support advises you of a clean reinstallation.
- When DraftSight became too customised and you would like the original settings back.
CLEAN RE-INSTALLATION STEPS

2. Turn off all Antivirus, Adware and Spyware applications.
