Tips and Tricks – Align Command

What would you say, if I told you that there is a command that combines the commands Move, Rotate, and Scale? Because there is one: ALIGN.

ALIGN is one of my favourite commands, due to the flexibility it provides. Also, it allows me to save time, by avoiding me going through a command, input coordinates, close it, invoke the next one, repeat…you see what I mean. In my opinion, is the type of command, that cleverly used, can have a very positive impact in your workflow, and productivity. Surprisingly, is often ignored, or maybe just unknown. I hope I can show you the potential of this command.

Note that the Align command aligns entities with respect to other entities or other target points on 2D planes, or in 3D space. So if you are working with a drawing in 3D, make sure you are selecting the correct points for reference. And speaking of 3D, a quick note on the variant ALIGN3D. The Align3D command aligns entities with respect to other entities or other target points in 3D space, and combines the Move and Rotate, or the Move and Rotate3D commands.
