Here is a simple way to insert to DraftSight drawing into Word:
In DraftSight go to File>Export and in Save File dialog box select Windows Metafile (*.WMF) i.e Windows Metafile or (*.EMF) Enhanced Metafile from Save as type list. Then click the Save button.
(*.WMF is the original 16-bit metafile format. It is the native vector graphics format for the Microsoft Windows platform. It is also the standard format for scalable graphics in Microsoft Office and many other Windows applications. Whereas *.EMF is enhanced and extended as a 32-bit format.)
Now open Word document, go to Insert>Picture and browse to (*.WMF/*.EMF) file that you have just created and click Insert.
You're file is now inserted in Word document.
You can resize this image using handles of image. Using option ‘Format’ you can crop or can change the color of image.
You can access number of picture editing options by right clicking on the image.
