Setting OpenGLProfile mode to compatible in DraftSight

NOTE: This is for Windows® Operating System only.

In order to tackle DraftSight crashes, we can also try to set OpenGLProfile as Compatible in DraftSight to see if it helps.

Run DraftSight by setting OpenGLProfile to compatible. You can do this in the following way:

1) In DraftSight, type “_OPENGLPROFILE" in the command line (without the quotes). Please note this is not in command completion list.

2) Choose “M” for compatibility.

3) Restart DraftSight for this to take effect.

This will not affect any functionality of DraftSight. The above steps are useful for cases where it does not crash on startup.

FOR CASES WHERE DraftSight CRASHES ON STARTUP

OpenGLProfile can be set to compatible on startup from the windows command prompt.

1) From the Windows start menu, search for cmd.exe.

2) Right click on cmd.exe > Select 'Run as Administrator'

3) Change the directory to DraftSight installation folder. Usually it is "C:\\Program Files\\Dassault Systemes\\DraftSight\\bin ".

CD C:\\Program Files\\Dassault Systemes\\DraftSight\\bin

4) After the directory changes to above, pass the following argument : DraftSight.exe -glprofile comp
