Hi,
as you might know, with DS2015 there is no 32-bit version for Linux available. In former times you could use the 32-bit-version installing some extra libraries on 64-bit-Ubuntu. This method now is obsolete, as there is no manner to do it the way round. If your mashine works on 64-bit you can just download the .deb and install it by double click. Softearecenter should open automatically and ask for your password. Unfortunately, you won't be very lucky, as there are some important bugs known, which hopefully will be fixed with the next version release.
To use DS2015 on 32-bit on Linux do the following:
1. Download the 32-bit Windows installer .exe from the DS-Homepage
2. Open a terminal by pressing Ctrl+Alt+T
3. Type: "sudo apt-get update", enter password and wait untill update finishes.
4. Type: "sudo apt-get install wine", enter password and wait.
5. In your filebrowser right click on downloaded .exe installer and select "Install with Wine". Go through the process as usual.
Depending on your Distro you will have several ways to start DraftSight now. There might be for example a Desktop icon, or you might find it in the Dash.
In my case everything works fine, except Registration. Selecting "Activate now" will close the program. The known bugs from the 64-bit version don't exist. Display works fast and inserted images will be rendered without problems.
Greetings
