You may have seen some new faces answering your iQuestions recently: The DraftSight Support Team!
The DraftSight SwYm site is a tool that was designed for the members of the DraftSight Community as a way to put you in touch with a network of your peers: peers whom you can learn from as well as teach; a network that allows drafters around the world to collaborate together; and a tool that allows you to provide us –the DraftSight team- with your feedback.
And, in response to your feedback, the DraftSight Support Team will now be engaging with you a lot more. We will be helping to guide all DraftSighters through the process of adapting, adopting, implementing, and learning DraftSight. But our mission here is to supplement the knowledge being shared here, not to drive it. Consider each member of the DraftSight Support Team -which is made up of technicians from around the world- as your DraftSight mentor. As mentors, we are here to help you build a self-sufficient, highly effective knowledge-sharing environment that keeps everyone informed and contains the specific information needed to get the job done.
But don’t leave it all up to us! It is vital that all members of the DraftSight community contribute! To ensure that our community is much more than merely an endless list of questions, there are a couple of things every member of the community can do to help build a tool full of easy to find, useful knowledge:
- Answer iQuestions: We believe in the power of the community and in the savviness, know-how, and expertise of our users. The DraftSight Support Team may be product experts but you –the community members- are on the front line. And that makes you the drafting and industry experts. Your insight is invaluable!
- Verify answers: If someone shares some information that helped you to resolve an issue, let everyone else know! When iQuestion answers are Verified, you are effectively making it easier for everyone in the community to find the “right” answer, quickly, all the time.
By the way, we will be going back through all of the previously, unanswered iQuestions to ensure that everyone has the information they need. If you logged an iQuestion before today, and it was never answered before, be sure to check it again in the near future!
Working together, we are going to create a world-class “knowledge base” that is built, as well as driven by and for, DraftSighters everywhere!
