Prequisites:
- Internet connection.
- Download DraftSight from http://www.3ds.com/products-services/draftsight/download-draftsight/.
- Save the DraftSight installer DraftSight.exe on your hard drive. (Note: Installer package size ~132MB).
- Install DraftSight (Standalone).
ACTIVATION PROCESS
As long as DraftSight has not properly been activated the following dialog appears on each start-up:
Fill in the necessary information. Make sure to use a valid email address as a registration email will be send to this email address. Click Activate.
A confirmation dialog appears, as shown below.
A few minutes later you should receive a registration email from activation@draftsight.com with the following text.
(If you have not received this email check your spam folder or try another email address).

Click on the registration link to complete the activation process. You will be directed to the following homepage:

A final email from activation@draftsight.com will be send with confirmation that your activation has been successful.

That's it. DraftSight is now successfully activated and good to use for the next 6 months. After 6 months, 1 year then annually the re-activation dialog will appear and ask you to register again. This way we track how many people keep using the software.
