Activation

No changes. The Activation dialog (free Version *only*) is still displayed at start up.

New Features

• Anything the user changes in DS such as toolbars, options settings etc will be supported in future releases of DraftSight.  However for the April release, if the user uninstalls and reinstalls, none of their settings will be maintained.  If they make changes in the April release and do not uninstall it, then they will see their settings maintained when they install the July release and subsequent releases after that.
• FIELD feature A field is an updatable text that is set up to display data that may change during the life cycle of the drawing. When the field is updated, the latest value of the field is displayed. 1. Using the command FIELD. The command gives the user a GUI to select the desired field and to insert them as MTEXT.  The user can enter drawing specific custom properties, where the user can set their own properties and their values and can call an editor for the properties list.
• Layer Filters - New layers after Layer 9 are now visible in layer manager dialog box. DELETE mark is now removed when pressing DELETE tab twice for same layer. After creating new layer, pressing the delete tab will delete the layer. You can now add new layer directly in a Group Filter. Change RMB option on Layers manager to Specify All but not Active.
• API enhancements "New functionality. Major enhancements are the ability to:

* Access the DraftSight application and document windows.

* Create Regions.

* Get the names of available printers and get the names of the paper sizes for your locale. See IPrintManager::GetAvailablePrinters,

IPrintManager::AvailablePaperSizesInLocale and

IPrintManager::PaperSizeInLocale.
