DraftSight Free version Product Activation - Process and Troubleshooting

The document below is aimed at all DraftSight Users, from beginners to experienced CAD Users, installing the Draftsight Free Version.

It describes the process to activate the DraftSight Free version and provides guidance on troubleshooting that may arise.The guide does not include exhaustive information on every step of the process. Whilst the troubleshooting steps will cover the most common scenarios, due to the large number of possible scenarios and environment variables, we cannot provide a single workflow that will resolve all potential issues.

Please note that when installing DraftSight Free version in network/corporate environments, due to the special characteristics of these environments, additional steps might be required in order to allow the process to complete successfully. If installing DraftSight in these environments, make sure to involve your local IT department in the process. Keep in mind as well that the recommended products for these environments are DraftSight Professional and DraftSight Enterprise.The troubleshooting steps described, or referenced in this document, are provided for guidance only. Dassault Systèmes do not support users editing and changing system settings. It is recommended that any changes are performed only by appropriately qualified IT staff.
