Software configuration and customization are relevant topics for beginners and experienced users alike.
If you are new to the software, you are likely to need help understanding the functionality available; if moving from a different software, the interface, methods, techniques, routines, shortcuts, commands, icons, etc. that you learned to love, are just not there anymore! Ultimately, all users want to customize the software in order to suit their workflows, and improve productivity.
To answer these needs and multiple questions, we have created the “DraftSight Configuration & Basic Customization” document below.
This document aims to be a reference to all users, gathering information about the access, creation, management of settings and preferences, that usually most CAD users like/ need to customize, and
help users make a smooth transition to DraftSight, or starting to use the software.
This document is not an “in depth look” on the DraftSight Customization, but gives the basic information and some tips on workflows and how you can customize DraftSight to meet your needs. You can also find additional information and video tutorials regarding the DraftSight Customization, in the DraftSight Community and in the DraftSight Youtube channel (https://www.youtube.com/user/DraftSight). The DraftSight Help files are also recommended for more information on any particular command or feature.
