It has been identified one scenario on which Users running DraftSight 2019 SP0, in Systems using Intel Graphics may experience performance problems/inconsistent behaviors, for example:
Symptoms
- Menus are still accessible,
- Command window is still accessible (possible to enter commands at the prompt)
- User can still close the software
- But Drawing Area is “blank”, i.e. does not display any geometry/entities, or does so for a limited period, becoming “blanked” after a time period.
- User can close DraftSight
The issue has been identified as specific to particular combinations of Intel Graphics with specific drivers and is not Reproducible in the upcoming 2019 SP1 builds.
For users facing the issue in the current DraftSight version, the workaround below can be applied:
- Go to Options/Type Options, Press Enter
- Select System Options
- Expand the node Display
- Expand the node Element Colors, and enable ‘Use dashed entity selection highlighting’
- Click Ok.
- Restart DraftSight
