A number of users of Draftsight 2015 SP1 have reported a problem with non-default toolbars, that are set by the user to be visible, disappearing between drawing sessions and having to be reset each drawing session.
Draftsight refers to User Interface profiles to determine the default toolbars and menus that will show in the workspace each time the program starts up. If a toolbar or menu is not on the default list in the current user profile then it will not be visible when Draftsight starts. This allows one user to have the workspace open up differently from another user at the time the program starts (provided their profile was in use when the program was last closed) or by switching profiles during a session to switch from one to another workspace setup. It also allows one user to have different profiles set up for different workspaces for different purposes.
The User Interface profile window is accessed by either typing USERPROFILE on the command line or, through the menu system, with Tools > Customize Interface... > UI Profiles > UI Profiles (expanded) > Toolbars (expanded) (or Menu Bar (expanded)) > Then use the Help button at the lower right of the window to access Draftsight help files that will provide a guide through the process of adding names to the defaults list.
It is recommended that the Classic Default profile be copied to a new profile name and the new profile so created be then modified and set as the active profile.
Note that a fix for this has been applied in Draftsight 2015 SP2 and the above text has been edited on 26 April 2015 to reflect this.
