Masters course on Advanced Planning & Scheduling starting again this fall at Eindhoven University of Technology

Quintiq Business ThoughtWorthSharing

Like every year since 2012, I will be lecturing the course on Advanced Planning & Scheduling (APS) to master's students at Eindhoven University of Technology, together with Prof Ton de Kok. Ton is a full professor at TUE and the director of the CWI institute. The main course material is the book on APS implementation that Ton and I authored together. Last year, we had over 70 master's students following the lectures, and doing the 3 assignments that are part of the course. The assignments are intended to give the students hands-on experience in designing an APS system for a particular domain.

The course intends to prepare students for their professional future in organizations, where APS implementations are conducted. It can also help them to understand planning processes in general, and how to support them with tools, such as ERP, APS or even spreadsheets. Just for clarity, we consider Delmia Quintiq and Ortems to be APS systems.

When you would like to know more about this, please let me know.
