We all look for shortcuts or simpler way to work when operating a software, and that's not different for DELMIA Ortems.
As a planner, you jungle between resources load/capacity, detailed machine Gantt, raw material projected inventories, labor availability and sometimes even combine them. To perform your job efficiently, the system must offer highly configurable views and give you the opportunity to easily switch from one view to another.
Here is the good news: that's exactly what DELMIA Ortems Desktop capability is about!
What a "Desktop" is:
A DELMIA Ortems Desktop stores a specific Planning application display configuration including the type of charts open in the application, the time unit, the main display options, the filters and sort orders defined etc.
A user can configure and save several Desktops, for different use cases and can also share them with other users.
Finally, each Desktop can be associated to a keyboard shortcut in order to enable users to easily switch from one view to another.
How to configure "Desktops":
Once you have configured your view, you can save it as a Desktop via Options -> Save desktop and by capturing the name of your view.
After saving your Desktops, you can now associate them to keyboard function keys via Macro -> Options, by browsing a macro file and linking it to the Desktop and keyboard shortcut.
