DELMIA Quintiq Workforce Planner: New Release Highlights

Significant development and updates have been made this year within the Workforce Planner with a focus on enhancing the Web Client and making it more robust and complete.

Here is a summary of some key functionalities that the Web Client has been upgraded with so far in 2025 (Golden to R3):

  • Bidding:
Functionality for the planner to create and maintain the bidding process directly within the web client. As employees submit bids for various types of cyclic roster lines or work patterns they'd like to work for in the upcoming period, planners can monitor these bids and even create new ones of behalf of any employees who don't have access to the mobile app.

  • Demand Curve:
Changes in demand requirements can now be directly reflected in the Employee Schedules view of the Web Client. Select a new demand curve and choose whether to retain existing assignments or regenerate the new set of shifts and activities to assign onto employees.

  • Manage Events:
Account for additional demand requirements for specific days by using the new Event Management view in the Web Client. Once events are set up, they can be imported into the schedule plan so that their shifts and activities can be assigned.

  • DELMIA Quintiq Mobile Client:
A new mobile client user interface has been introduced, which was migrated from the existing mobile platform. This upgrade leverages a modern framework that delivers several key benefits, including enhanced offline capabilities, a refreshed native experience, a secure and modern architecture, and a visual designer with live preview functionality. The new framework significantly reduces development time, enables access to modern UI design standards, and improves overall UI/UX with stronger native support. Additionally, it offers greater flexibility for project customization and supports modular extensions, making it easier to adapt and scale the application as needed.

  • Manage Employees:

View and maintain all employee data directly within the Web Client. Update contact details, contractual information, skills, limitations, and track various counters for each employee within the plan unit. The view was further enhanced with a new Filters form docked on the right. It’s now simple to find a list of employees who fall within certain criteria to assist with the scheduling process.

  • Task Templates:

Use task templates to create repeatable sets of activities in the same order regardless of when they are needed. Assign different task templates to different days of the week with task template groups, and link task templates to specific days of the week for ground operations planning.

  • Contact Point Planning:

For ground operations planning, track the estimated passenger arrivals and determine the correct number of contact points to have open. Review the estimated waiting time per passenger based on open contact points.
