In the manufacturing industry, SAP is still a dominant vendor for ERP. During the selection process and delivery projects, customers often raise the question about the capabilities of the DELMIA Quintiq software to integrate with their existing SAP ERP system. A clear and convincing answer to this question, sometimes, plays the vital role to be selected as the Supply Chain Planning vendor.

To be well-prepared for the SAP integration discussion, we have created a set of materials that can be used during the selection process and/or project.

The following slide deck gives an overview on all the technical capabilities of DELMIA Quintiq to integrate with SAP, followed by an in-depth analysis and comparison between the techniques selected for the bulk data integration scenario.

In the future blog post, we'll discuss about the techniques that are more suitable for real-time integration with SAP.

Within the DELMIA Quintiq brand, a working group has been formed to continue working on the SAP integration initiative.  Future work includes e.g. the knowledge base and utility libraries for data transformation from SAP to DELMIA Quintiq.
