Walking between different locations is part of everyday's activities of a Rail Crew member. Walk from the reporting point to the platform where the first train activity starts. Walk to another platform after arriving at a next station where the crew needs to switch trains. Walk to the break room and back. And so on. And all this walking needs to be accounted for in the crew duties that are planned, as it takes time, and often agreements are made with labor unions how much time should be planned for walking between different locations in the various stations where the crew works.
