TransportAndMobility HowTo Quintiq FleetAndCrewPlanner
When creating a crew plan it’s important that as a planner you can check whether it adheres to the labor rules. Sometimes different values for the same labor rule apply to crew based at the same location, e.g. due to different labor union agreements or specific agreements with certain employees.
DQ Fleet & Crew Planner offers the possibility to apply overruled values for groups of employees planned within the same location to give full support on checking labor rules for all the employees that are planned in the crew plan. Below video shows you how it works.
In case you are wondering how to setup the crew depot and role structure as shown in the video for a separate group of employees, the steps to be taken are as follows:
- Setup of the crew depot, working unit, and role is in the F&CP System Maintenance client
- In the KT Crew Depot, define an additional crew depot for the same location and same crew type but with a different SeqNr. Don’t forget to synchronize the knowledge from the Edit main menu to ensure the crew depot also gets created.
- Define a new role for the group of employees that need to be planned with different labor rule values, e.g. Driver North, and link it to the crew type of the employees, e.g. Driver, by drag-and-drop.
- Now also assign the new role to the working unit of the location where the employees are based, e.g. Airport.
- Finally, link the new working unit role combination to the additional crew depot that was defined as shown in below screenshot for the example used in the video.
- Make sure to publish all these changes after you are done to the planning datasets by either all individual Publish changes buttons on each of the forms or the menu item Publish changes now under the Edit main menu.
- In the planning client in view 14 Manage employees you can assign an employee to the new working unit role from any desired date as shown in the screenshot below.
