Creating a good plan can be a challenge just because of the complexity, but when it takes a lot of time to just navigate through the data relevant for the puzzle at hand it just becomes more challenging. In a crew planning puzzle there are typically tens to hundreds of crew duties or employees to navigate and as a planner you will need to be able to quickly find your way through them. DQ Fleet & Crew Planner provides two options in both tactical and operational crew planning that allow you to easily filter crew duties or drivers based on certain properties, or pin them on top of the Gantt Chart. Let's take a look at a few examples.

Suppose you have just run the optimizer to create a set of crew duties for next year's timetable, but you want to evaluate the taxi rides it planned in its proposal. By clicking on the button for filtering options on the toolbar of the crew duties Gantt Chart a dialog opens up with several options to filter on. Selecting "Taxi pass-rides" gives you direct overview of all crew duties with taxi rides planned in them.

On the day-of-operations one of the main tasks is to monitor the current operations and resolve any conflicts that may occur. The KPI dashboard helps you in alerting that there are conflicts with the drivers that need to be resolved, the standard filtering options on conflicts helps in quick visualization of these conflicts in the Gantt Chart.
Finally, using standby crew is an often-used solution to resolving conflicts. Using the pinning options to pin standby-at-depot duties the standby crew is pinned at the top of the Gantt Chart, which can be an easy way to assign any unassigned crew requirements to them while keeping the planning of other crew available in the Gantt Chart below them.
This shows some of the easy filtering and pinning options available in DQ Fleet & Crew Planner that help you to easily navigate through the plan, getting to those crew duties that are of importance for your task at hand.
