DELMIA Quintiq Fleet & Crew Planner: Crew Skills

Crew skills are important to be taken into account when creating a crew plan for your Rail operations. Some of the well known skills that need to be taken into account are route and traction knowledge, to ensure the driver has the right certificates to drive the route he is planned on, and drive it with the traction type that is planned on the train. These kind of skill checks were already supported by DQ Fleet & Crew Planner from its very first release, but did you know that in recent releases DQ Fleet & Crew Planner also supports additional crew skills? For example, a skill check whether crew is allowed to work with hazardous goods, or a skill check on language needed to interact with passengers traveling on a certain route.

The additional skills that can be required to work on certain train services or crew requirements can be defined at that level, as well as which employees possess these additional skills, and how many crew duties can be defined for a crew depot that require such an additional skill. Check out below video to learn more about this great feature to check additional skills needed in your crew plan.
