Presentation
Among all the possible actions in the Planning application, some of them, already usable by Planner users, are now offered to Collaborative users.
This means that these actions send collaborative events to the Planning program.
These 3 new actions are the following: Duplicate WO network, Fix WO supply and Merge WO
Here is a recap of all the planning collab features now:
A glimpse of the introduced collab events
Duplicate WO network:
Sends an event to duplicate a whole WO network.
Fix WO supply:
Sends an event to force the supply of a WO as fixed/unfixed or to cancel the forced supply:
Merge WO:
Sends an event to merge 2 WOs into 1 single WO:
About collaborative mode
As usual with collab event, once validated they pop up on the planner Planning in the event manager
when the right option is activated.
To have a full overview of Collaborative mode with DELMIA Ortems, here is a detailed webinar describing this powerful feature:
Technically
All the events are stored in EVENTS and EVENTS_PARAMS tables.
By taking a more in depth look at the tables, here is an overview of the 3 events in EVENTS table:
For instance, the “MERGE_WO” event has its related details stored in EVENTS_PARAMS as followed:
Prerequisites
All along this document, we usually use "collaborative user" formulation where it is actually a Collaborative profile assigned to an environment for a user.
To be a collab on an environment, the user must be assigned with a class whose “Profile” is “COL”.
To be done or checked: launch “Environment/User Management” module and go “Users” tab, look at your user – each class is specific by environment.
Specific tokens dedicated to collaborative mode should be also incorporated on your license:
- OBP = Number of collaborative users for PS environments
- OMB = Number of collaborative users for MP environments
