The functionality “License Expiration Warning” has been introduced with DELMIA Ortems 2021 Golden (Fix 2043)

N. B. Sentinel license expiration check will be available in Refresh 1 that is not available for now but can be made available by Ortems Support on demand. DSLS is however to use as first choice.

When a license expires, this is an urgent issue to manage because it is, in some cases, blocking the customer production.

Until now, there was no way to prevent this from happening directly in DELMIA Ortems Planning application but it has changed now with the "License Expiration Warning" feature.

As the license approaches its expiration date, the Planning application displays an alert to the users letting them know on the coming deadline of the license keys (according to the parameter chosen)

This works both with Sentinel and DSLS license keys.

How to configure the "License Expiration Warning"?

Either this can be done through the Environment Management tool Administration > Advanced Settings:

In the ”Warning period before license expiration” section, set the number of days to warn the users before expiration and, in the contact section, the person to contact for the renewal (as an information in the message, no automatic mail is sent).

After the parameters have been set, once the license enters the period of warning described previously, the planning pops the following message to the users.

The message indicates the expiration date of the license and the contact information.
