Book on implementing APS systems

In 2018, this book on implementing Advanced Planning & Scheduling systems was published. The book was the result of years of implementation experience, mainly with planning and scheduling solutions from Quintiq. Another pillar of the book is represented by the research from Ton de Kok on planning systems and stochastic techniques.

When the book came out, it was used by the authors for the yearly Master's course on Advanced Planning & Scheduling at Eindhoven University of Technology. Throughout the years, the course has become more popular with 72 students taking the exam in 2021.

Since the book came out, it has been downloaded more than 7,500 times.

The book covers all aspects of APS implementations, as the title suggests. It is used as course material, but is also relevant for practitioners who are participating in APS implementations.

Some would claim that the term APS is outdated and replaced by SCP&O (supply chain planning & optimization). However, the authors prefer to use the well-known term APS over a new term that refers to the same class of systems.
