Ascending/Descending parameters scheduling

Ortems ProductionScheduling Business

Hi all,

Some specific manufacturing environments require scheduling to consider the growth (or declination) of a particular parameter.

Few examples:

- Because it's longer to cool down an oven than heating it up, we prefer to schedule products by growing temperature (180° -> 200° -> 250° etc.)

- Starting with dark chocolate before white chocolate will create an issue: you must clean between both batches otherwise your white chocolate will turn brown due to dark chocolate residues. Thus we prefer to schedule following the growth "chocolate/taste power" of the products.

DELMIA Ortems solution is definitely able to manage such constraints by leveraging its continuous parameters capability.

Not only this functionality enables to manage ascending/descending parameters scheduling but also to minimize set up / cleaning times to optimize productivity. Indeed, scheduling 250° product or dark chocolate first would lead to respectively more cooling time or cleaning time, damaging productivity.
