Virtual Additive Machines

A Virtual Machine is a Digital Twin of the real world model on your shop floor. A Virtual Machine on the 3DEXPERIENCE platform is a PLM object that carries relevant parameters from the manufacturer. When an Additive engineer is working on supports and slicing a part, he can benefit from the Virtual Machine parameters for his for his set-up, check for collisions in Layout and quick access to accessories such as build tray and mats that carry material properties,

The Additive Process engineering roles (APW) offers Virtual Machine for Renishaw AM250, 400 and 500 models. There is also a beta version of the Cincinnati BAAM machine for customers in testing phase of the FDM or DED techniques. These Virtual Machines for now will be posted here on the Fab Community.

Ideally per the strategy, the Virtual Machines are provided by the vendors themselves on the 3DEXP Marketplace. There is continuous effort in growing the number of Virtual Machine providers. Others in the pipeline for now are SLM, EOS, Add-Up and 3DSystems. This will only grow over time.
