With a French partner, I have build a demo for prospect. During this time we make a lot machinine simulation (on toolpath) and discovers that it is very important to optimize the way to work.

With default setting and 'wrong' methodology, the simulation takes 3 minutes 48 seconds (8 MOs on aero structure part).

After 2 setting modifications and better methodoly, the same program can be simulated in 8 seconds ... and of course for the same result :)

The most important are:

Change the default ambience (pure white, mirror ...) by  white or blue design. The default is very nice for 'static' design but not for machining simulation, when you compute simulation there are a lot of unneccessary and consuming thinks to compute (shadow, reflect ...). With only this change the simulation is done in 2min04 s (instead of 3min 48).

Don't display the toolpath during the materail removal

Don't display dynamic window during the simulation. The datareadout has to be opened when you analyse the fault list (it is enough!) and the toolpath line after the simu if you when to check specific point
