Hi,
A few days ago I was solving a couple of cases(programming, post-processors) for rotary milling and demonstrated how it can be done inside CATIA using a Multi-Axis Curve MO. However, it requires some extra effort and know-how to create an helix curve on a shape which is not round. Below is a link to the thread at COE.org where I posted a small video clip and a detailed explanation on it.
I think it would be a good option to have inside 3DX and CATIA.
Yesterday, I updated my Fusion360 and looked at this toolpath. It is amazing what these guys are doing at a fraction of a cost. It looks like they have it for over a year now. And I hate to say we don't have such capability in V5 or 3DX.

And one below is for the 4th axis wrap.
Fusion Rotary Wrap Toolpath - 4Th Axis Milling
It can be done in CATIA but it requires lots of workaround using multiple 5-axis MOs and tons of NC-Geometry to be made. I did it a long time ago in V5 on a somewhat complex shape. Here is a link to another post of COE.org
