Moving forward in 2012  !! 

With V6 machining pre-req’s on the database, it seems difficult for smaller customers to buy into a database solution because of the cost adding resource to maintain the database, IT and additional hardware. In some cases we know this has worked well and this will continue. But it seems slower to replicate our success than before as in V5. What can we do to help our customers to get over this mind-set. Our value-add with V6 solutions doesn’t seem to easily overcome the customer’s perceived costs over value.

 Is CLOUD services really the answer to this ?? Clearly it is for us , perhaps not yet for the customer !!

 Although Cloud services maybe easier to access, keeps costs low  and gets it done faster, the market in general, feels exposed on data security especially with aerospace defense suppliers and contractors. The same with auto as well on the confidentiality of the data. What can we do to change this perception ? Should our cloud service be free of charge with a limit,  similar to APPLE's iCLOUD model ?? Should we host a CLOUD server ourselves for machining customers to access??  We cannot sit and wait until the market gains confidence.
