[WEBINAR Replay] What‘s new for Engineers on CATIA Core Engineering in R2019x?

R2019x  What's New 3DEXPERIENCE CATIA

Check out the new enhancements and capabilities of CATIA R2019x for Core Engineering. You might discover how to save time to focus on engineering tasks and what matters to you.

On September 11th, at 9:30AM - Paris time, the 11th webinar of our CATIA TV program, titled "What‘s new for Engineers on CATIA Core Engineering in R2019x?", has been broadcast. This is a special moment to listen to our Dassault Systèmes expert: @SI

To answer questions raised before or during the webinar:

- Question 1: How does Publication works in 3DEXPERIENCE here. do you need any specific license for this feature?

- Answer: No specific license is required for publications.

- Q2: What are the trigrams of  "3D innovator" and "3D Generative Innovator"?

- A2: The trigrams of these 2 roles are: CXDP-OC et XGG-OC

- Q3: Are there benefits or improvements in the Sheetmetal Design App?

- A3: There are no improvements in Sheetmetal Design on the release 2019x level.

- Q4: 2019 software is to preferred not to be installed on Companies who are still using Windows 7. Correct?

- A4: Indeed 3DEXPERIENCE R2018x is the last 3DEXPERIENCE release to be supported with Windows 7 SP1 64-bit. From R2019x level, only windows 10 Desktop is supported.

- Q5: Is there an alternative to fusion 360 contact sets ? I need parts to move when they interact with each other ?

- A5: CATIA 3DEXPERIENCE is able to simulate intermittent contacts and much more. This an advanced capability brought by the “Mechanism Simulation Designer”  Role.

- Q6: Is the enhancement impact the ROL, RSE and RTS module? (enhancement about IHM, windows management and settings)

- A6: ROL, RSE and RTS are DELMIA roles (digital manufacturing) that are not covered in this webinar that is only focusing on the CATIA enhancements.

- Q7: In addition to the 3D tolerancing & annotation, do you have stack up analysis for assemblies of 2 or 3 parts together?

- A7: We have CAA partners in 3DEXPERIENCE who proposed an integrated solution (3DCS and Mecamaster)

- Q8: Interested in knowing how the transition from Prior Catia versions are managed to 3DEXPERIENCE.

- A8: CATIA V5 is fully imported inside 3DEXPERIENCE without any data loss (features, geometries, parameters…)

- Q9: Regarding CPD Composites, does it change something? Are we considering anything new for these composites modules ?

- A9: Feature-wise, there is no difference as of today between CATIA Composites V5 and 3DEXPERIENCE, except the full integration on the 3DEXPERIENCE platform of CAD and CAE for an optimal workflow
